Company chat and direct messages
In addition to project chats, we have introduced a company chat and direct messaging.
- Use the company chat to reach the entire team with information that isn't related to a specific project.
- Employees can message each other directly.
- A new chat overview displays company chat, project chats, and direct messages in one place, complete with an unread message counter.
- Settings determine how the chat is used within the company.
- Company chat and direct messaging are available in both the web app and the mobile app.
Two-factor authentication
You can now optionally protect your account with a code from an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, in addition to your password.
- Two-factor authentication is set up in your personal profile.
- Recovery codes allow you to log in if you don't have access to your phone.
- Company administrators can reset two-factor authentication for a user.
- Login with a code works in both the web app and the mobile app.
Photos and files
- You can now mark up project photos using a pen, arrow, circle, or text. These markups appear in the web app, the mobile app, and in PDFs. The original photo remains unchanged.
- Images now open in a consistent image viewer, and PDFs open in an integrated viewer instead of a new tab.
- Files can be pasted into any storage area using Ctrl+V or ⌘V.
- You can link multiple photos and files to a task, report, or record at once. Only one notification will be sent.
Bills of quantities
- If a scaffolding item is selected in chapter 114, the corresponding scaffolding rental is added automatically. If the item is removed, the rental is removed as well.
- The item panel for NPK bills of quantities has been redesigned for faster operation. Its width is saved across all quotes.
- Items in the NPK catalog can be collapsed by subcategory.
- When editing an NPK variable, the placeholder from the catalog is pre-selected and can be overwritten directly.
- You can choose the text width for the quote PDF: narrow, medium, or wide. With medium and wide, item descriptions are printed as continuous text.
- You can enter your own units in custom bills of quantities. Units already in use will be suggested.
- When a service is adopted from the service catalog, all sub-quantities are assigned their price.
Notes and reminders
- Comments are now called notes. Replies are displayed as replies in notifications.
- Notes on files appear in the overview, including @-mentions and notifications.
- "Remind me" is now also available for notes on files, quotes, and contacts, as well as for messages in company and direct chats.
Projects and contacts
- Project and file numbers can be changed retroactively. If invoices or sent documents already bear the old number, Caturix will alert you before saving.
- In the project search, the most important projects are listed at the top, with archived projects in a separate section.
- You can now upload documents to contacts and manage them in folders.
Employees and working hours
- When linking a user to an employee, Caturix suggests suitable users.
- In the time tracking view, you can filter by team: this displays the employees of a supervisor. The supervisor can be set on the corresponding employee profile.
- The employee filter in the time tracking view now only shows employees from the selected period. Employees who left a long time ago no longer appear.
Mobile App
- The daily selection has been revised, cards have a consistent design, and the chats and profile have been polished.
- The inbox is now accessible via the bell icon in the top right. The chat is now located in the main navigation.
- Images and PDFs are cached on the device and open faster.
General improvements
- When saving, Caturix jumps to the first error in the form. Error messages now specify minimum and maximum values.
- The selection fields for contacts, projects, or employees have been optimized. Address, phone, and email are now available in a preview menu.
- You can use the arrow keys to jump from one notification to the next.
- Caturix loads noticeably faster, especially the project list, the planning view, and the task list.
Bug fixes
- Modifying a previously deleted line in the bill of quantities no longer blocks all subsequent save operations.
- Changing the status of a quote now remains correct, even if a dialog is cancelled.
- The PDF viewer on iPhone and iPad once again displays all pages.
- Most scanned PDFs now have a preview image again.
- The project lead for a project is retained, even if the person loses the project manager role.
- Deployment plans are now sent even if no email address has been stored for the company.
- The filters for daily reports and time and material reports in the services section are working reliably.
